Helioseal F Plus - The efficient fissure sealant for the protection of pits and fissures

Helioseal F Plus by Ivoclar Vivadent is a white-pigmented, fluoride-releasing fissure sealant, indicated to seal pits, fissures, and Foramina Caeca. Sealing pits and fissures with an impenetrable layer creates a barrier and prevents bacteria from growing in them. The tight marginal seal provides protection, thereby making them less susceptible to caries.

Optimised consistency with ideal viscosity: its new formula boasts excellent flow and wetting properties due to its special thixotropic properties, allowing optimal flow when forces are applied -and when forces cease, it returns to its initial viscosity. Where access to an approved, regularly maintained and tested autoclave is available, the autoclave should always be considered the primary means of sterilisation.

Instructions for use:

Decant the required amount of Cold Sterilant into a clean, dry, covered stainless steel or HDPE receptacle. Completely immerse thoroughly disassembled, pre-cleaned, rinsed & dried instruments / devices in the liquid, ensuring that any hinges or joints are in the open position. Allow a contact time as per your desired efficacy – see below efficacy table. Remove the instruments / devices from the liquid using sterile forceps, and follow the post-sterilisation procedure of the facility. Tray-life of the liquid should be tested weekly using M.E.C. strips. The product should have a tray-life of between 21 & 28 days, should the strips prove a shorter life, check your instrument cleaning process. For best results, replace the liquid every 28 days, or as soon as an MEC Test Strip reads less than 1000ppm active ingredient, or immediately if any change in liquid colour occurs.

Pre-Requirements:

Latex or nitrile gloves for sensitive skin, however OHSA requires the use of eye protection & good ventilation when mixing, handling or discarding chemical disinfectants.

Instructions for use:

Shake well before use. Dilute Disinfecting Suction Cleaner as per below efficacy table, where 1% equals 10mL product per 1L of water or 1 dosing pump with 2.5L of water.. Pour or aspirate the diluted solution into the system. Allow the contact time of your required efficacy before flushing the system. For badly maintained systems (or the initial 4 uses), leave the solution in the system overnight, flushing the system the following morning. Dilute only enough for immediate single use – if unused, discard within 7 days of dilution. Repeat daily.

Instructions for use:

To begin: Remove the lid & remove the sealed in­ner bag. Ensure that the leading wipe is at the top, cut open the bag & place it back in the tub. Open the flap in the lid & pull the leading wipe slowly through the hole. Replace the lid onto the tub and the wipes are ready to use.  When needed: Simply pull out a wipe, tear it off on the perforation and use. Best results are achieved when used on a visibly clean, dry surface. Allow the contact time of your required efficacy, (as per the efficacy table below right), before using the surface again. Repeat as often as required by your Infection Control protocol (suggested proto­cols available on request). Always ensure that the flap is tightly shut after use to prevent drying out of the wipes. Wipe material is not efficiently biodegradable.
