RTD’s QUARTZ SPLINT PROPRIETARY QUARTZ REINFORCEMENT FIBERS
Quartz Splint is pre-wetted with light-cured methacrylic resin at the factory so that it chemically bonds to most composites and acrylics.
Why use Quartz Splint?

Quartz Splint is RTD’s range of 4 reinforcement fibres, with overlapping indications, according to preference and specific clinical demands. Quartz Splint is made from a different quartz fibre than our popular posts, and is pre-wetted with light-cured methacrylic resin at the factory so that it chemically bonds to most composites and acrylics. Pre-impregnation reduces the possibility of voids or bubbles, and provides ease of use and consistent results: no guesswork/fewer steps! Independent studies confirm Flexural and Shear Bond Strength superior to glass and polyethylene fiber products, and it does not “wick”.
