IPS e.max Ceram Power Dentin
IPS e.max Ceram Power materials have been designed with today’s all-ceramic products in mind. In the past, the goal of layering was to add translucency and depth to opaque frameworks. Now, with the high strength and highly translucent materials on the market, adding translucent layering ceramic can often lead to a grayish appearance. IPS e.max Ceram Power powders have been formulated for application on translucent structural ceramics such as lithium disilicate and zirconia and help to keep value levels high to meet dentist and patient requirements. The Power materials may also be added to opaque substructures for increased brightness when the situation demands it.

IPS e.max® CAD for CEREC® and inLab®
IPS e.max ZirCAD Blocks are available in nine sizes and five shades. They are processed in the inLab System from Sirconia. Given their high strength and homogeneous shading, they are excellently suitable for the fabrication of esthetic crown and bridge frameworks. Moreover, IPS e.max ZirCAD convinces users with the option of quick sintering in the Programat S1. The frameworks represent the optimum shade base for manual veneering using IPS e.max Ceram, for veneering by means of the press-on technique with IPS e.max ZirPress and, above all, for digital veneering with IPS e.max CAD.

Lithium disilicate (LS2) glass-ceramic is ideally suitable for the fabrication of monolithic restorations or veneered restorations in the anterior and posterior region. Due to its natural-looking tooth colouring and excellent light-optical properties, this material produces impressive results.
Years of clinical experience:
The material is used in the dental laboratory in conjunction with either press or CAD/CAM technology. Years of clinical experience confirm the high strength of 500 MPa* for IPS e.max lithium disilicate. The outstanding performance of the material is based on a combination of excellent flexural strength and high fracture toughness adjusted to the given dental requirements. The clinical success of the material attests to its quality. Furthermore, these properties allow you to work according to the requirements of conservative dentistry. Depending on the patient situation, the restorations may be veneered in a highly esthetic manner or, if fabricated as monolithic restorations, they will be stained.
Patients with devitalized teeth:
Even if the preparations demonstrate a dark shade (e.g. as a result of discolouration or titanium abutments), all-ceramic restorations may be used. In this case, it is important for you to inform your laboratory about the die shade, and the dental technicians then selects the IPS e.max lithium disilicate material in the required opacity in order to design the true-to-nature esthetic appearance.
Indications:
- Veneers (≥ 0.3 mm)
- Inlays and onlays
- Occlusal veneers, partial crowns
- Minimally invasive crowns (≥ 1 mm)
- Implant superstructures
- Hybrid abutment solutions
- Three-unit bridges up to the second premolar as the terminal abutment
Advantages:
- Excellent esthetics and high strength (500 MPa*)
- Versatile applications and extensive indication range
- Minimally invasive preparation and adhesive cementation of crowns with a layer thickness of 1 mm
- Clinical long-term success and scientifically documented results
- Natural-looking esthetics irrespective of the preparation shade
- Adhesive, self-adhesive or conventional cementation depending on the indication

| | Ivoclar Vivadent e.max CAD
IPS e.max® CAD is a high-strength lithium disilicate glass-ceramic (LS2) for the CAD/CAM technique directly in the dental office (chairside) or the laboratory (labside).
The IPS e.max CAD blocks for chairside processing are available in 16 A-D and four modern Bleach BL shades. They are available in two levels of translucency and two sizes. There are also an even more opaque blocks for the fabrication of frameworks (layering technique) in the laboratory.
The IPS e.max CAD blocks with high translucency (HT) are used for the milling of minimally-invasive, fully anatomical restorations, such as inlays, onlays and veneers. For partial crowns and crowns, the less translucent (LT) blocks are used. The restorations are directly milled from the blue blocks. During a quick combined crystallization/glaze firing cycle, which supersedes polishing, the restorations acquire their high strength (360 MPa) and the desired esthetic properties (tooth shade, translucency, brightness).
The restorations can be additionally individualized using the Stain materials. Finally, the restorations are seated. As an alternative to being placed using the adhesive cementation technique, crowns may also be cemented self-adhesively or conventionally.
